Padre Inferno Mode: Speed vs Safety on New Tokens
Inferno Mode is Padre Terminal's speed-first way of trading. It is aimed at the first chaotic seconds after a token launches or migrates, when prices jump around and a slow order can mean a much worse entry. Like any speed setting, it comes with a cost.
The problem it solves
Normally, before each order you think about two settings in the order panel: slippage (how far the price may move before your order is rejected) and the priority fee (how much extra you pay so the network processes your transaction sooner). Adjusting these by hand is fine most of the time, but too slow when a token is moving every second.
Inferno Mode applies a more aggressive combination for you, typically a higher priority fee and a wider slippage allowance, so you can act with fewer clicks.
What you gain and what you give up
| You gain | You give up |
|---|---|
| Faster submission and processing | Higher fees per trade |
| Fewer failed orders on fast-moving tokens | Less protection against a bad fill price |
| Less manual setup in the moment | Less time to check the token before buying |
Speed does not change what the token does next. It only changes how quickly your order gets in.
When it can make sense
- A token you have already researched is launching and you expect a rush of buyers.
- A token is about to migrate from its bonding curve to a full pool.
- The market is moving so fast that normal orders keep failing.
When to leave it off
For tokens with deep liquidity and calmer prices, normal settings are cheaper and safer. A wide slippage allowance buys you nothing when the price is barely moving, and you pay the higher priority fee for no reason.
Before you use it
- Read our slippage guide so you understand what a wide slippage setting allows.
- Check the token first with our safety checklist. Inferno Mode makes it easy to skip this step, which is exactly when people get hurt.
- Start with a small amount until you are comfortable with how fills behave.
Inferno Mode is a tool for getting in quickly, not for getting in safely. Use it only on tokens you have already decided to trade, with an amount you can afford to lose.
