Padre Terminal Fees: What One Trade Really Costs
When people ask "how much does Padre charge?", the honest answer is that a trade has more than one cost attached to it. Some of it goes to the terminal, some to the launchpad the token trades on, and some to the blockchain itself. Knowing which is which helps you see what cashback can and cannot reduce.
Layer 1: the platform fee
Padre Terminal takes a fee on each filled trade. Independent reviews in 2026 put it at roughly 1% of the trade size, which is in line with other popular trading terminals. Because the official rate can change, always confirm the current number inside the terminal before relying on it.
This is the only part of your cost that Padre itself controls, and it is the part that cashback applies to.
Layer 2: launchpad fees on bonding-curve tokens
Tokens that have not migrated yet (the ones you see in the New and Almost Bonded columns of Trenches) trade on the launchpad's bonding curve, for example on Pump.fun. The launchpad charges its own fee on those trades, on top of Padre's fee.
After a token migrates to a regular exchange pool, you pay that pool's swap fee instead, which is usually smaller. So the very same trade size can cost more on a brand-new token than on one that has already bonded.
Layer 3: network fees
Every on-chain transaction pays the blockchain to process it. On Padre you can see these settings in the order panel next to "Gas", including a priority fee that helps your transaction get processed faster.
- Solana: base fees are tiny, but priority fees add up if you set them high.
- Base and BNB Chain: usually cheap, but they vary with traffic.
- Ethereum: can be expensive when the network is busy, which matters a lot on small trades.
These fees go to the network, not to Padre, so no referral program can refund them.
Where cashback fits in
Padre returns part of the platform fee as cashback. Accounts that signed up without a referral link get a lower default rate, while accounts that signed up through a referral link can get up to 35% of the platform fee back. You can see your own numbers in the Rewards โ Cashback section of the terminal.
Two things worth knowing:
- Cashback only applies to the platform fee, not to launchpad or network fees.
- The referral link usually has to be used when you first sign up. It typically cannot be added to an existing account later.
A worked example
Say you buy $500 of a token that has already migrated, on Solana:
| Cost | Approximate amount |
|---|---|
| Platform fee (~1%) | $5.00 |
| Cashback at 35% of the platform fee | −$1.75 |
| Pool swap fee | depends on the pool |
| Network + priority fee | a few cents to more, depending on your settings |
The numbers are illustrative only. Your real costs depend on the token, the chain, your priority fee and the current fee schedule.
Do not rely on any blog post, including this one, for your exact rate. Open Rewards inside the terminal: it shows what applies to your account. If you are comparing terminals, our Padre vs Axiom comparison covers how fees stack up side by side.
