How to Set Up Padre Terminal, Step by Step
Getting started on Padre Terminal (now officially called "Terminal") takes a few minutes. There is no identity check or long registration form. The steps below cover signing in, funding your trading wallet and, most importantly, locking your account down before you trade.
Make sure the address bar shows trade.padre.gg. Lookalike sites are common in crypto. Nobody from Padre will ever ask for your seed phrase or private key, in a pop-up, a DM or anywhere else.
Step 1: Open the terminal and sign in
Go to trade.padre.gg. The sign-in page offers Telegram, MetaMask, Phantom and Google; pick one you control and keep secure. If you arrive through a referral link, the page shows a line such as “You’re joining with code: …”. If you want the higher fee cashback, open the site through a referral link before creating your account, because referral links usually only apply at signup. Our cashback guide explains why.
Step 2: Find your trading wallet
Once you are in, look at the wallet selector at the top of the screen and the order panel on the right. On Solana you will see a trading wallet (for example labelled "Starting Solana Wallet") with its balance. This is the wallet your trades are made from. You can manage wallets from the Wallets shortcut in the bottom bar.
Step 3: Secure your account
Before adding any money, go through the security settings:
- Protect the account you sign in with. If you use Google or Telegram, turn on two-factor authentication for that account; if you use a wallet, keep its seed phrase offline and the extension locked when not in use.
- Set any encryption or account password the terminal asks for, and store it offline. If it is protecting keys on your device, support may not be able to recover it for you.
- Back up any private key the terminal shows you, offline, and never share it.
Step 4: Deposit funds
Use the green Deposit button at the top of the terminal to see the address for the chain you want to trade on. Send funds to that address from your exchange or personal wallet.
- Send on the same network as the address (for example, SOL on Solana). Sending on the wrong network can mean losing the funds.
- Leave a little extra for network and priority fees, not just your trade amount.
- Try a small test deposit first if you have never done this before.
Our funding and withdrawal guide lists the mistakes people make most often at this step.
Step 5: Place a small first trade
Pick a token, choose a small amount using the quick-buy buttons in the order panel, and check the gas and slippage settings before you confirm. A tiny first trade lets you see how fills, fees and your balance update without risking much. Afterwards, open Rewards → Cashback: your rebate collects there as Unclaimed Rewards in SOL, and you claim it with the Claim button.
Setup checklist
- Correct site (trade.padre.gg), opened through a referral link if you want higher cashback.
- Signed in and found your trading wallet.
- Sign-in account secured, passwords and keys backed up offline.
- Small test deposit on the correct network.
- Small first trade, then check Rewards.

Opens the official site, trade.padre.gg, with a referral code for up to 35% fee cashback.

My balance shows 0 after depositing
Check which wallet and which chain are selected at the top of the screen. Deposits only show on the chain they were sent on. If it still looks empty, look up the transaction on a block explorer to see whether it has confirmed.
A transaction is taking a long time
Slow transactions are usually caused by network congestion or a low priority fee, not the terminal. Our deposit and withdrawal guide explains how to check.
